An ethereal shimmering silver silk-satin gown from the "Old Hollywood" era of glamour. The bodice is a seductive low-cut plunge bias-cut sleeveless with matching puff-sleeve cropped bolero-jacket. I love the beaded, embroidered floral designs which really give the ensemble so much depth and texture! The waist is nipped with flattering cross panel backside. The lower skirt is added in pointed inset seamed pieces typical of the time period and insanely hard to do on bias-cut fabric. This figure flattering garment accentuates the bust, skims the hip and flares out below the knee in a fishtail design. It is impeccably seamed and on the level of modern day couture. Here is a dress with attitude and elegant.
Total Length:59 inches
This antique evening dress is in excellent wearable condition with no rips, stains or holes. Perfectly working side metal-snaps. Only sign of wear are a few knicks to the fabric by the hemline. This gown is over 80 years old and is truly spectacular.
