We would date this silk tabard from around 1918-23. This is an early piece which pre-dates the flapper craze of the 1920s. It would have been meant to have been worn over a loosely cut tunic dress with sleeves. Today's woman would wear it over a shell and skinny pants. We've even had a customer wear such a style dress as a long draped scarf. The silk is in very strong condition for its age and the beading has all been dialed in by our atelier to assure ready wear.
